Most sessions, besides newborn, will take place outdoors at a location decided upon together when booking. If an indoor location is more your vibe or there's a certain spot special to you, arrangements can possibly be made. How many photos will we receive?
You will receive at least the minimum amount stated in your package! Although I personally am a sucker for all the little details, so I don't like withholding any photos that I deem worth delivering to you! Your memories truly matter to me and I treat them as such.
How should we dress for our session?
I encourage you to first and foremost focus on wearing what makes you feel most comfortable, but always advise for everyone to wear neutral coordinating colors, very simple patterns on one to two people, if any, and no logos showing at all. Check out my blog for more information. I'm always available to help with this if you need any input :)
What is prompting?
This is pertaining to the process of capturing the photos. It means I will give easy and fun prompts for you to "act" out that help capture the authentic moment happening, instead of just posing each individual for the photo. There may be a few poses involved in the session, but I try to stick to mostly prompting, which creates such a unique experience. If anyone feels awkward in front of the camera, this definitely helps!
When will we receive our photos?
Most sessions have a turnaround time of approximately two weeks, but some require longer! You will be notified of this in your contract.
What happens in the case of bad weather?
This is up to the discretion of the photographer and the circumstances of each situation, as stated in your contract. We will be in contact on the day of your session and if I feel the session needs to be rescheduled to ensure everyone's safety and the quality of my work, then we will do so.
Can we bring our pet along too?
Absolutely! As long as they are well maintained throughout the course of the session, I have no issue with that.
How many people are allowed in a session?
All immediate family is included. Extended family will incur an extra fee added to the total balance.
Can we bring our own props to a session?
Of course! If there are any special items or props you'd like to include in your photos, such as a blanket to use for sitting photos, or ultrasound pictures to hold, we can for sure do that. Just give me a heads up before your session take place!
Are mini sessions available?
Yes! At certain times throughout the year, mini sessions will be offered. These will usually be around Mother's and Father's Day, as well as during, Summer, Fall and Christmas time. Keep an eye out on my social media, so you know when they are announced and can sign up for your desired time slot!
Are outfit changes permitted in a session?
Possibly! Let me know ahead of time if you're interested in this and we can discuss it further.
Do you charge a travel fee?
It depends on the location of your session. I will determine if a fee will be charged based on distance and inform you beforehand of the cost. I reserve the right to charge this fee and all details will be laid out in your contract.
